Doubletake has teamed up with Susan G. Komen and Pickleball for the Cure in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Together, we aim to raise critical awareness and funds to support groundbreaking breast cancer research and provide assistance to people worldwide affected by this life-changing disease. Now in its third year, Pickleball for the Cure is the first-ever fundraising platform designed exclusively for pickleball, empowering clubs, teams and individuals to play for a purpose. The initiative invites individuals to get involved by hosting events or participating in the Komen Pickleball Challenge. Komen and Doubletake have set a fundraising goal of $100,000, a powerful step toward advancing the fight against breast cancer.
You can get involved by REGISTERING as a Team Captain and making a difference in one of two ways:
- Host a Pickleball for the Cure Event: Organize your own fundraiser—whether it’s a tournament, open play, happy hour, clinic or ladies’ night. Hold the event at the venue of your choice—a local club, public courts, or even in your own driveway.
- Join the Komen Pickleball Challenge: Take on the challenge of playing as many pickleball games as you can in 30 days while raising awareness and funds. Register solo or gather friends to form a team and amplify your impact.
Starting today, the first 100 new or currently registered Team Captains whose event/team raises a minimum of $1,000 will receive a Doubletake Pink & Candy-colored Melbourne Pickleball Backpack/Tote. Komen and Doubletake are honoring these leaders who are driving change in the fight against breast cancer. Many of these captains have been personally impacted by this disease, and by rallying their communities to play for a cause, they are helping to fuel the hope and resolve needed to eradicate breast cancer.
